Purlins

The purlins used are either wood or steel. When the chosen spacing distance for the steel frames is over 5 meters we will use galvanized steel purlins. Wood purlins are always impregnate treated, cut in specified lengths and pre-worked with special pin ends, which enables them to take on the compression and tension forces. The material thicknesses of the purlins will be determined according to the wind force and snow load of the concerned area and the roof angle and roof material.
